Called me this afternoon asking for Mr Hughes. I'm not Mr Hughes and having said so they apologised. I shall keep a note of their number as clearly others have not been so lucky.

called me 3 times, just said hello and rang off, absolute nuscience.

Man called. As it was a local number I picked up. He started to slowly say it was a quick call re energy check. Knew my name. As I kept saying no thank you he carried on with his spiel so I hung up

Lady phoned and said she was from an energy company about checking heat loss from Windows. I said I wasn’t interested in replacing them and she said they wouldn’t do that. They just wanted to check efficiency. I said I was happy with things as they are. She was polite and apologised for bothering me

Yet another call centre making calls from a different number on behalf of debt recovery firms testing if you'll answer the phone, script is variable but whatever they say it is they are just trying to confirm your identity and phone number match thei debt companies' records so the debt company can carry on hassling you to admit the debt and restart the process
