Answered the call but nobody spoke. It seemed like a nuisance call so I assumed it was probably a scam.

I missed the call because it stopped ringing just as I reached the phone. Trying to answer unknown nuisance calls can easily catch people off guard. It left no message and everything about it suggested another unwanted scam attempt.

I let the call go to the answering machine because I did not recognise the number. No message was left so I suspect it was a scam.
