Calling at 7 am! And all other hours of the day Phone flagged suspended scam didn’t answer

Indian call centre. Asking for colleague by name saying they are from Total Energy and wanting to discuss our energy account. Told him I had searched the phone number and knew it was a scam and hung up the call.

Left a recorded message saying the call was just for promotional reasons and to press a number if I wanted to opt out. Sounds dodgy to me.

My mobile flagged a call from this number as "Potential Fraud" so I didn't answer. Unusually for calls like this, a voicemail message was left - an automated voice saying, "Hi, this call is for promotional purposes, to opt out key 9." I've blocked the number anyway!
