No one there when answered and hangs up after a few seconds, I’m guessing it’s automated to find live lines

Got a call from this number earlier today. I picked up and nothing but call centre background noise. When I said hello she interrupted and called me by my first name then talked some nonsense. I said nothing more and after a lenghty silence she said with an ominous voice "we will call you again (my name here)". The most peculiar thing is that she sounded exactly like the woman who called yesterday, twice, from another dodgy (and acknowledged as such) number - 020 4638 3706. Each time definitely a British caller, with a bizarre, artificial lilt, as if an AI voice. Have blocked both numbers and I am reporting them to Action Fraud.

This same guy has been ringing me from various mobiles and landlines for weeks. Completely unscrupulous and clearly up to something.
