Keep calling saying they are Smartest Energy and phishing for electricity account details. Very persistent, had to hang up on him in the end. Why has this number not been closed down after so many reports saying it's a scam? !!!!!

Guy called "Matt" claiming to be from EDF saying they were our current provider. EDF is not our provider, they called twice.

Definitely Phishing. Claimed to be from British Gas but they are not our supplier so asked who our current supplier was so I gave another one, not ours. Then said that their metering office covered both and they wanted information from our most recent bill so that they could correct their systems. Not given and told that if they were from British Gas I would report them to Offgem. Kept trying to get information out of me until I put the phone down.

Claimed to be our energy supplier YU energy, told them no one was available to talk but they were pushy, hung up on them and they tried ringing back! didn't want to take NO for an answer

Claimed to be from Total Gas our current supplier (obviously obtained in a previous phone call). Said he was going to tell me our meter number and ALL I had to do was to confirm this as he was doing me a favour because we were being overcharged. I have a code with Total Gas which, of course, he wasn't able to provide and after much too-ing and fro-ing when I said he's get nothing from me, he hung up. Very aggressive!

keep on calling claiming to be from British gas light, they can not confirm any details and hung up when I questioned them. Our business is receiving a call from them everyday harassing us. I have now blocked this number hoping it helps

Long story short - claimed to be from our current energy supplier but needed me to provide the serial number for the meter. Very hard to get a word in edgeways. I would class this call as dangerous as it is deceitful
