Scripted scam energy rubbish silent then recorded on a bank holiday I just said go away you idiots made me feel better they ring constantly just change the digits

This number rang me at 9.15am on a Bank Holiday Monday - I didn’t answer but my voicemail icon appeared. There was no message left. I am registered for Telephone Preference Service but now my landline is via my wi-fi this no longer seems to be valid. I’m being regularly targeted by nuisance callers cold calling. For elderly people this is harassing.

same experiences as above. Phone range 10am Easter Monday. Caller asked "can you hear me alright" sounded like someone I knew so said yes. Then phone line went dead. Because I thought it was someone I knew I phoned back and was asked to press 1 which I did as I knew my friend having issues with phone. Message said press 1 again. I didnt. Now blocked number

First silence. Then "Can you hear me alright?" Then " My name is James and I am with energy advice in your area.... ". On a Bank Holiday? I don't think so! I'm afraid I told him to S*d off.
