Caller claimed to need confirmation of meter numbers for billing purposes. When I refused, they called back multiple times. Definitely a scam.

Claimed to be from EDF Energy, but sounded off. Tried to get me to confirm payment details. Hung up and called EDF directly - they confirmed it was a scam.

Pretended to be from British Gas, asking for my meter number. When I refused, they became aggressive and kept calling back. Pure harassment.

Just had call asking for accounts dept about my Electricity account being wrong digits. Guy was very persistent that I tell him my account number. Luckily I don't trust anyone anymore & he was told where to go. Sad world we live in that this scum spend there day trying to scam people. BLOCK the number don't answer.

Dodgy - have rang our office 3 times claiming to be from British Gas at first then Drax and NG Power. Very persistent - from the 'electricity metering service'. - wanting our meter number etc. Total time waster and have blocked calls.

Indian guy rang asking for accounts says he is from EON and are having technical difficulty loading the meter information to be able to produce a bill and needed me to confirm our electricity details. We receive loads of these type of calls so have a policy in place here and our utility providers quote a password if they want to speak to us about our contracts.

Persistent calls claiming to be from various utility companies about meter or billing issues. Always asking for sensitive information. Block this fraudster.

Someone pretending to be from NG Power called us trying to get account details. Our provider usually calls from a withheld number, so I knew it was fake.

Rang to say they were from the metering department of our energy supplier and that we had been billed incorrectly due to an error in our postcode. Wanted to confirm billing information and meter no so that it could be rectified. He couldn't confirm the date/amount of out latest bill when asked and was quite aggressive in his manner. I hung up!

Rang claiming to be from SSE Energy to discuss our account over wrong meter readings. Wouldn't take no for an answer when I refused to provide the one time passcode which came via email. The email address they are using does seem genuine. We rang SSE after and they confirm this is fraud. Please be careful.

Rang claiming to be from SSE regarding metre readings being incorrect, this is not the first time we have had this call, advised said person to get a proper job and stop ringing us they are very persistent be careful.

Phoned 28/03/23 stating they were from EON with technical issues with their billing. Wouldn't communicate the purpose of their call until I confirmed our details back to them. Not a chance!

Claimed from SSE about a mix-up in meter readings. Refused to provide real verifiable details. They called multiple times, very irritating.

Phoned pretending to be Scottish Power metering department and starting taking details of my Scottish Power account. I got suspicious and hung up and called Scottish Power who confirmed it wasn’t them calling me. The scammers phoned back several times, I’ve now blocked their number.

Caller claimed to be from E.on re overbilling and problems on my account, which sounded right because I had called them about this issue yesterday. It was only when I put phone down and saw the number that I thought it odd as E.on usually call on a number withheld.

Called this morning and insisted on speaking to Accounts Payable. When I advised there was no one free, they asked if they could call back. Of course I said yes. Called back in the afternoon, asked to speak to Accounts Payable, and when I said that they were't available, I got hung up on! Great Customer Service whoever they are!!!!

Rang saying they are from Engie, meters department, wanted accounts, then requested our meter number and got very short when I said I was to busy to look. Then Rang Engie, the call was not from them and told do not give them our meter number. They ringing me back tomorrow, will be an interesting call.
