Definitely Octopus. Called them back and they need to upgrade my communication hub from 2G to 4G, free of charge.

I checked this number, when my phone flashed it as scam. I had spoken to Octopus Energy the day before and checked my account and fixed the payments, and re-checked it with them today, and my account action with them was confirmed, and the number above is being used by an anonymous debt collector. The assistant in Octopus has warned me of a scam and told me to ignore this number

Claiming to be from Octopus - caller tried to sign me up for some payment arrangement. Became aggressive when I declined the 'offer', and he hung up.

Missed call showing from Octopus, but phone didn't ring. Just a voicemail. I am with them, but pre-arranged callendered calls don't happen, & erroneous take over was processed without checks when phone had been hacked (& I have criminal neighbours - 1 of whom was the erroneous takeover culprit). So, due to the issues, I've marked this as dangerous.

11:10 Weds 17 Dec Male caller purports to be Octopus requesting meter readings but as I supply these on a weekly basis this is very suspicious ! BEWARE

A young female voice left a message on my answerphone saying ‘Hi mum’ and something about it doesn’t cost much and exchanging a meeting. Message was slightly garbled, did not make sense.

This is NOT Octopus but likely to be one of the people who are deliberately trying to gain control of your landline, computer and mobile phone. Do not give any information at all.

Number may be used by scammers so be aware, but had a genuine call from Octopus for an install I had chased up

the caller was a young foreign girl who could no speak or understand English trying to make an appointment for the installation of a smart meter for Octopus. I told her NO but I received an email from hello@octoes.com confirming an appointment - I have emailed Octopus 4 times but no reply- was it a scam call?
