Just got a call from a woman claiming to be from SevernbTrent and offering me renewal on my Severn Trent sewage & water utilities insurance because it had expired. I told her that we'd not had a renewal letter. She then suggested i set up a new direct debit and asked for my details. I knew i didn't have any insurance and when i told her, she rang off. Very scary as she sounded so genuine! Frightening because someone could easily fall for this scam.
