This number won’t give up , keeps ringing me and won’t let m block it

I answered this the first time and had to slam phone down. Rang straight back, I unplugged phone. I have an extension upstairs which is still plugged in.... this now rings several times a week from this number which I do not answer.... the upstairs phone has caller display luckily.
