Persistent caller claiming to be from housing services. Clearly spam and best avoided.

"Danny", claimed to be from housing services and was calling about my reported issue. I haven't reported any issue, so quite clearly a scam.

'Danny', claiming to be from housing services calling about an unspecified housing issue that 'had been reported'. Didn't check who I was/call me by my name, didn't mention property address, didn't name the council he was allegedly calling from. When I asked why he was calling me he asked if I had an issue such as damp or mould, I said no, he hung up. Definitely not a genuine call from a council's environmental or housing standards department.

Answered the phone to silence for a few seconds. When I asked who it was, they said their name was 'Harry', and just asked how I was. Asked what it was regarding, they claimed they were from the 'Housing Service' and that they were calling regarding the 'housing issues I had reported'. Definitely suspicious, hung up on them immediately. Wished I hadn't answered! I never answer unrecognised numbers normally.

Like other people have claiming to be housing association about damp, mold etc not tell them anything. Im not even on housing benefit. i own my own home and if you are on housing talk to the right people yourself
