Called saying they were calling from Aviva life insurance (who my cover was with) had to ask all my info about age, term cover etc. I asked 'surely you have this info if you work for aviva', to be told 'no, they are just the review team, and have no access' - I was then passed to to Starr Insurance brokers who were about to try and sell me a new life insurance policy - at which point, I hung up. Dangerous way to cold call - especially because of the misrepresentation. Bound to be against FCA regulations.

Saying they want to review your life insurance even though they guess the company your insured with incorrectly. The reason this is dangerous is because some people fall for this and end up with much worse cover than they already have trust me I know as I sell this for a living and yes I do it properly without hassling people.

Said they were a review team. They seemed to have a little bit of my info but I didn’t trust them enough to continue.
