Answered call from this number to an automated voice informing me they are calling from HM revenue and customs (HMRC), they have sent a letter in the post which has been returned to them and this issue needs to be sorted with urgency or legal trouble will occur, hold the line or press 1 to resolve the issue. For anyone concerned with calls like this - you can’t hide from HMRC. They can find your correct address quicker than you can get dressed in the morning, they don’t need to be calling anyone to threaten them. They will write to you unless they’ve said otherwise. Do NOT answer the phone to these people. Any fines and penalties will be sent in the post to your correct address!
