I never answer any numbers unknown, withheld, or I don't recognise, looks like I did the right thing with this one. Blocked and reported, I suggest you do the same.

Instinctively answered but realised unknown to me, caught myself in time to say nothing… silence from other end then they / it hung up. No doubt voice triggered scammer

I never answer unknown numbers on, my mobile. I just let it ring then check with yourselves. Obviously a wise move in this case
