caller knew my name, and other personal detail's ,and claimed I qualified for a device to safeguard scam calls, asked for bank details,when l stated this was a scam, she denied it, and asked for my banks sort code. I POLITELY declined and put phone down

Unsolicited call received from a foreign person so I asked who was calling, the reason for the call, where he was calling from and the name of the company he represented. He asked why I was asking all these questions and he hung up when I said that he hadn't told me what he was calling about.

When I get a call and there is a slight pause and then click I put the phone down. If it was genuine they would call again. The scammers never do.

Woman trying to sell a phone line call blocker. Very convincing initially but then proved to be a cold call. Avoid at all costs.

Talked about offering landline security, I did string her along, and said would you like all my bank details she then realised I was taking the mickey and hung up

Answered but didn't speak, line disconnected after a few seconds. A legit caller will talk. An auto-dialing call centre won't. If you speak, it will put you through to a scammer.

Woman claiming that my phone line needing fixing - amazing how she could speak to me then !!!!! I told her to stop harassing me about something that was obviously fine. When I mentioned the words scam and con trick she hung up.

A company calling themselves Elder Aids claiming my number was insecure and said they will send me a device to block unwanted calls apparently costing £169. They had asked for my dad who died 10 years ago and got annoyed when I asjed why they were calling someone who died 10 years ago

A SPAM / JUNK call from a woman selling solar panels. Why don't they check TPS because we are registered there.

Just another of virtually daily unrecognised numbers coming in through the landline. I didn't answer. I only answer the landline now if I know who is calling. Virtually every incoming number is a scam or a dead tone. I only keep it because my elderly mother won't use a mobile phone!
