Called my mother claiming to be from telecoms, reckoned he knew my brother and wanted her to confirm her address.

Called me by name about my phone line, I replied stating that the person she wished to speak to is away and gave them my old Minicall pager number, although their switchoard is still active by dialling the actual Minicall pager's nmber, the Minicall pager no longer works. A list of diallng codes etc is posted on the Richardsradios website, the formula here is to use one of the five digit access codes followed by a six digit number in any combination of numbers 1 to 9 and 0. Happy paging. Please note, these numbers are premium rate.

Allegedly about updating my landline, phishing for personal information, hung up.

Call centre noise in background. Female, knew my name. Has been monitoring my line and a box to stop nuisance calls has been despatched to me because I keep getting scam calls. I know this story so I said like this one? She said I could be assured it was not. I asked her to tell me who my provider is and had she got their permission to track my calls? She said it was not relevant. I said if you have been monitoring my line then you I am sure you will know and she hung up and wouldnt play any more :-(

Trying to sell call blocker. I screamed as loudly as I could down the phone, hung up and blocked immediately.

I received the first call on Xmas eve. They knew my name age and address. They were pushy too quickly to buy a call blocker for only £175. I put the line down. Just received another from the same as described by others today 4 February. They are pushy to get me to buy this which you can buy for £25 or an application for £1 a month or can be free.

Knew our name and post code etc. were looking for support for dogs rescue but after googling number realised not legit. Such a shame to use such a worthwhile deserving cause to try to scam you.

Caller knew my name and postcode and claimed to help block nuisance calls. Not connected to my provider and clearly a scam attempt.

Suspected scam caller didn't bother answering looked up and confirmed. Blocked immediately.
