Animal Rescue claiming I had provided support in the past and could I provide more funds. Telephone agent seemed to have no concept that this is a scam.

Silent, using by an old call list (wrong name), not English. Scammers

Claimed we were already supporting an animal charity. We're not (although we do donate to carefully chosen charities). For once I was polite, said no, asked them to take us off their lists. Surprisingly little resistance from the agent!

Stayed on the line but the caller remained silent and did not engage properly. Felt like a scam attempt.

FIRSTLY l didn't answer the call, a little later I rang the number as it might be important- it was engaged . . . . several hours later I rang again - it was engaged . . I rang just before 1730 on the same day 15 April 26 and it was engaged!
