claiming to be EE and was trying to gain access to my ee account

They “Hello I am calling from O2.” I said “No you’re not.” and hung up.

Tried to get us to download software remotely. When we challenged this, guy pretending to be from EE got very angry and frustrated. We terminated the call. We immediately called EE who advised us this was a scam and was nothing to do with them. Don't get into any kind of conversation with these scammers

They called me on Saturday 24/01/2026 asking me to renew my EE phone plan (Im not with EE), they then called me today 30/01/2026 but I did not answer - please do not give away any of your personal information as this is highly likely a scam

Said they were from EE , when I said I wasn’t with EE they quickly changed TO O2. Similar stuff to the others re SIM cards.

Called today saying from ee and I needed to update sim card they put the phone down when I said I’m pay as you go not contract definitely a scam call as ee themselves know it pay as you go

Scam call claiming to be EE. Very convincing at first, many call centre employees I’ve spoken to before at EE have an Indian accent, so I thought nothing of it. However there is no reason they would need your details to send a new SIM in the post, they send me post every month. They said they can prove they are EE by sending me a text… And I then received a text from EE with a PIN, so clearly they were trying to access my account. Hell no!

Called at 11.52 on 22/1/26 saying I needed a new SIM, when I questioned it, I got passed to a manager, I said their number was coming up as Dangerous, and the 'manager' kept saying that was wrong they were from EE and wanted my details, when I refused, he got angry then hung up the phone

Asking me to confirm email saying need to have new ee sim delivered. I said phone said its spam and the Indian woman said ok and hung up

Pretending to be from EE and saying that after a merge with BT I need to re update my SIM to keep my number or I'd be cut off. When I said I'd talk to EE directly, they said 'ok' and hung the phone up, so wasn't a hard sell as such.
