"Mom/Dad I lost my phone" scam. To the person making the comment below me.... scammers most likely don't know you have a daughter or son... they just send a message hoping the right person will fall for their trap.

I got a text saying "hi mum this is my new number" After a good few texts back and forth my so called 'daughter' ask me to urgently pay two bills for her but needed me to text my card details because she couldn't make or receive calls! I called my daughters "old phone" because the new phone number went to voicemail... needless to say my daughter didn't make any such request! How did they get my number is what I'd like to know? Unfortunately being my daughter I was fully prepared to give out my credit card details as my bank has only enough for my direct debits. These people have absolutely no shame.
