I didn't recognise the incoming number. The only words u heard were "this is an automated call". I ended the call and put a block on it.

Call me saying that he is calling from metropolitan police and I am involved in a serious incident associated with sending a package to China. He can speak out my first name and my home address and street name only. Saying that if I do provide him with my further personal information, my case will be put on trial. When I asked him about his Police ID number, he could not say and asked another woman to talk to me. She repeats what the man tells me. I check online the number and then hang up.

Man said he was calling from the UK police about a serious case involving me and a package. He knew my name but refused to give any ID number. Highly suspicious.

Had a call off this number was an automated message board saying it’s a call from HMRC saying they will soon be perusing legal proceedings and to talk to the officer call back on a different number. I obviously hung up as I’m pretty sure it’s a scam call. But I’m going to contact HMRC myself to check if they had called me
