Second time today, and about the 7th or 8th time I have received this recorded message "Can you hear me ok?" to start. Just stay quiet and the message repeats twice more before hanging up. I add these to my block list, though the number changes and calls again with the same message a day or two later. As this is my business number, it gets pretty annoying

0131 381 8849 has been ringing me up every hour, this has been going off for 2 weeks now, when the number first rang me up they asked me if I can hear them, pakkie accent, replying 'yes' they hung up, but ever since then I'm getting harassed by the same number.

I have just received a call from this number based in Edinburgh. Like the previous person's report she was pleasant and spoke with a clear English accent. I think this is a very clever female voice clone / deepfake audio. I was advised that I was the home owner and she was representing some sort energy organisation. I was asked do we have a gas supply, solar panels, uvpc windows or wooden window frames. It was just a barrage of AI generated questions to collect data, (and she doesn't listen to your replies) which will, in turn be used by whoever is behind this scam to sell to others so that we all receive even more of these nuisance calls. Hang up, block and report.

Pleasant sounding woman (Jane from Energy?) She’d got me down as the home owner, then asked about what type of windows I had ,wood / pvc and while I was answering , she fired another question. I responded that I hadn’t finished answering the previous one, but there was no apology! Then she asked if I could hear her alright . I replied that I could but that she kept asking more questions whilst I was still answering the previous ones. I told her I was not continuing with the call as she wasn’t listening to my answers. No apology and I hung up while she was still in full flow…..NEVER experienced a call like it

Also, had a call 30mins ago from this number (illegally calling my TPS-registered) to my ex-directory landline number. I didn't answer it, as I did not recognise the number and now seem to be getting a call every day from many-different scam numbers even though I rarely provide my landline number to anyone. So it seems they are automated-dialling random numbers, not checking if they are TPS-registered, and therefore a scam company.
