Didn't leave a message when my answerphone kicked in. Suspected scam

Spoke briefly before realising it was an answering machine, then left no message. Similar numbers from this range behave the same way.

Missed call with no voicemail left. When I rang back, I was placed straight on hold with no introduction or company name given. It felt like they were preparing to connect me to someone for a likely scam attempt.

Caller claimed to represent an energy company and asked for the manager or owner, saying they could offer a better deal. The display name did not match the company mentioned. This sounds like a business energy scam attempt.

No reply when I answered. I kept saying hello but could only hear faint breathing on the line. Very unsettling experience so I ended the call and blocked the number.
