I must have missed the call but still received a verification code for an Amazon business account I do not have. This is from 02070848165.

Caller from a lady with an Indian accent telling me there was a suspicious purchase on my Amazon account then sent me an "Amazon verification code" on WhatsApp which was from this number.

Indian man called to say there was an order made on my account. Tried to get me to confirm a cancellation code for the order on Watsapp. Beware!

Just received a call from 07441145799, again someone with a heavy indian accent claiming that someone had ordered an iphone and that if I did not cancel it, the money would be taken out of my account. Also go sent a verification code from 02070848165, from what looks like an authentic Amazon account but if you look closer it is not quite right and looks screen grabbed. The guy would not get off the phone, tried to persuade me for over 12 mins! I refused to give in thankfully! Total scammer!!

Scam. Called from a mobile number. Lady with a heavy Indian accent telling me that my Amazon account had been compromised. Sent me a verification code to WhatsApp on this number.

Same experience as the people above. I've aske her to confirm my address for which she said she doesn't know it. Amazon customer service will have access to my delivery address.

Just got called on mobile number 07877316300, Indian accent, claiming someone trying to buy Iphone on my Amazon account, sends a code via whatsapp from 02070848165, then what looks like a legitimate Amazon email with a verification code is sent to your email and the caller asks you to confirm it in order to cancel the order. This is clearly suspicious as there would normally be notifications if someone was trying to buy something with your Amazon account, before the caller calls, and of course providing the code to the caller defeats the object of the use of the code to prevent fraud, because you are providing a verification code to a unverified caller who could then us this code to actually hack your account. This is how the fraud works.
