I received this scan text today – do not ring them. It is a lie.

This number claimed to be the FCA preventing fraud and obtained credit card and debit card information from my 83 year old mum aswell as driving licence information. They have taken money from her bank account and got her to download apps thinking she was getting refunded. This happened today at 4.30pm. Very dangerous and deceiving.

Message claimed a card had been linked to Apple Pay on another device and asked me to ring this number. The text came from an overseas source so it looked highly fraudulent.

We received a Message claiming card has been added to Bradley’s wallet
Rang number given, first time told it wasn’t in action but then answered by man who immediately asked for personal details which we didn’t give. When l asked exactly who we were speaking to he hung up.
Contacted Apple straight away who looked after us very well.
