Calling about home insurance on a Bank Holiday from a company I have zero policies with, nah jog on scammers.

Did not answer but it briefly went to answering machine and could hear a lot of noise as from a call centre before it clicked off

Said he was from Domestic and General and that I am due a reduction on my next payment because I've always paid on time. Asked for my email address and date of birth. Worrying, because I do have a policy with D and G, but I knew they'd have my details if the call was genuine. Also, unlikely to be ringing on Bank Holiday Monday.

The caller claimed to be from Domestic and General and asked for my postal address so I blocked him.

Just had a call from these scammers, his name was James, and he claimed that I had taken out an appliance policy and I had not made any payments, when asked who he wanted to speak to, as I do not have any of these policy's no name was given but he kept on that I owed them money. I put the phone down on them as it was a SCAM

very frightening I don't really know what happened but the person called James said he was from D&G home maintenance cover and that I had missed a payment, it ended up with him saying something was being sent to me by Royal Mail, which was when I hung up. I shouldn't have engaged with it I realise now.

Just had a call from this number, the man [in a foreign accent] said my kitchen appliance cover had run out, I asked which one, he didn't know, I said it doesn't matter I won't be renewing it and he laughed really creepily and kept on laughing...I hung up.

Number rang briefly then stopped before I could deal with it. No voicemail left. Came across as nuisance calling rather than a genuine attempt to make contact.
