Said that they were BT, saying that our area was going to be upgraded to full fibre. Listed the right address and landline number but then started asking for my email address and other details, giving feeble excuses as to why they don't have them. Total scam. Reported to report(at)phishing(dot)gov(dot)uk.

Scam about washing machine guarantee expiring. Got my name right but gave the address I left 14 years ago. I suggested if he was going to try scamming he ought to get his facts right.
