Claimed to be from sky offering a 40% discount without having any of my details like name account number or current bills. When he asked how much my current bill was I said £269 and he willingly accepted it before trying to get personal details from me. Clearly trying to get hold of personal info and probably bank details

No response when I answered the phone. It seems like a typical scam attempt.

Silent call. When I answered there was just a continuous dead tone on the line.

Got a call from this number, they knew my name and address, but I didn't say yes, sorry to say that was all I understood, I asked who they are and what they wanted three times and still didn't understand them, the guy even started to talk louder which wasn't helping because volume wasn't the issue... He started to become annoyed so I hung up....

Answered in error (forgot to look at caller ID first!). Hung up as soon as Indain voice started asking for the landline owner. Presumably they are working through the phone book.
