Man said he was from council ring about repairs i had contacted them about, which i havent any time recently, but then went on about mould and damp, so i asked again who he is and as soon as i done that he hung up. Very suspicious and not how the council behave. Blocked the number now

Received a call from this number today with a male stating he is ringing me about the repairs I reported relating to my rented property. Except I am a home owner with a mortgage so have not reported any repairs as I am responsible for sorting them myself! I immediately hung up & blocked the number as it is clearly a scammer.

Calling about repairs I have reported.... except I've not reported any and have a private landlord. When I answered it took a while to 'click' into the person who was talking to me. I said nope sorry and they hung up, but very very sus call. How'd they get my number? I wouldn't be surprised if it led to me having to pay money for nothing.
