Scam Call – Pretending to Be O2 I received a call from 0161 549 8941. The caller claimed to be from O2 and offered to reduce my monthly bill from £10 to £5. The caller had access to my personal details and information about my phone plan, which was concerning. During the call, they sent emails from suspicious addresses (o2.upgrade1@outlook.com and verification@account.virgin-mediao2.co.uk ) and pressured me to click a verification link urgently, saying the offer was time-limited. The email addresses were not official O2 domains, so I refused to click the link. This appears to be a phishing scam. Do not share personal details or click any links if you receive a similar call.

I am an 84yr old pensioner and had so many calls from this number on Friday 13th of February. I was stressed out as I couldn’t get them to stop. My Grandaughter found out it was a scam & even though I tried to block this number I had 8 calls last night which I ignored.
