Asked if i could hear them, when i said yes the call was immediately cut off. Think they are trying to record you saying yes so they can use your recorded voice.

Scam James calling lofts. Phoned twice

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Dangerous

Automated voice "James" talking about loft insulation. Spam.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Dangerous

Didn't get past TrueCall which means they weren't prepared to state who was calling. Therefore most likely to be a scam as genuine callers are happy to respond to the challenge,

Warning about scam attempts and advising others not to engage with suspicious callers as they may misuse responses or gather information.

Appears linked to known scams involving insulation and home improvements, likely part of a wider fraudulent campaign targeting households.

This appears linked to a known scam involving fake loft insulation, solar panels and double glazing offers. These types of calls are often part of wider rogue trader activity targeting households.

A man rang trying to sell doors and windows. When I explained we already use a local fitter he abruptly ended the call without any further discussion.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Harassing

Automated voice, referred to as Jane, talking about solar panels again. Clearly a repeated cold call and has been reported to the regulator.

Called an ex directory landline and started mentioning solar energy, sounded suspicious so I ended the call.

SCAM SCAM

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Dangerous

Scam automated cold marketing call from 'David' at 'Windows and Doors', likely spoofed number.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Dangerous

Automated caller pushing windows and doors. Starts with a fake greeting asking if you can hear them, then continues with a scripted pitch. Responses did not match what was said which made it obvious it was not a real conversation.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Dangerous

This is a scam where they try to get you to speak so your voice can be recorded and reused. Very concerning behaviour and should be avoided completely.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Harassing

"David" is a bot, voice-activated questions, similar to previous Jo scam

DANGEROUS REFRESH PROMOTION WINDOW SCAM CALL TARGETING YOUTH, CLAIMING VICTORY PRIZES.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Harassing

Bot pretending to be "David". Talks about windows.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Dangerous

Scam claiming a "Refresh promotion" aimed at younger users. Definitely unsafe and should be blocked.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Harassing

Same as other commenters, a person called David selling windows. I'm registered with the TPS and tried to tell him he was breaking the law but he spoke right over me the whole time, carrying on with his sales pitch. Even when I made high-pitched noises down the phone, he just carried on. Unbelievable. He said I would get another call in 45 mins to book an appointment. If that happens, I'll report to the ICO.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Harassing

Reports suggest scripted window sales calls that continue talking without listening.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Dangerous

Caller introduced himself as being from a doors and windows company. Even after clearly saying no, he continued speaking over me and repeating the same sales pitch without listening.

User reported 0131 231 2308 as Harassing

Caller named David tried to push a windows and doors offer. The call was ended quickly due to obvious sales pressure.
