I answered the call but didn't speak and a female voice asked if I could hear her. When I spoke she announced herself as an energy advisor. She asked if I had wooden or UPVC windows or solar panels. I was suspicious when I talked over her she didn't stop talking, and she offered me some discount vouchers for replacement windows, deciding I was eligible without knowing my personal circumstances. I then told "her" that I was fed up with talking to an AI voice and hung up. I have decided it was a dangerous call, because it was designed to be convincing.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Voice activated response bot plugging energy saving vouchers. Goes through a script irrespective of ones answers. Concludes by saying her manager will call to arrange a surveyor to visit to measure up. This type of call is becoming more sophisticated.

A bloke called David (supposedly) said he was ringing from a Doors and Windows company based in London, but does work all over the country. I asked why he was calling and he repeated re Doors & Windows. Could be a robot?

Another scam call-put phone down harshly.

Ai scam call - happening twice a day now, registered with TPS

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

Loft Insulation scam call - James is not a human being and is just an AI voice trying to get you to provide details - I blocked the number.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

James, about dangerous loft insulation, nor responsive to comments or questions. ? AI generated

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

The call was picked up by my voicemail, but the caller nevertheless charged on (supporting the suspicion that it's a chatbot) to leave the message: "You are the home owner at the property, is that correct?" When there was no response, it ended the call. Its first phrase sounded definitely robotic, the second phrase more natural, but it's the >behaviour< rather than the voice delivery which sounded artificial.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Someone claiming to be "James". Well spoken but doesn't appear to listen. Could be AI. Had 2 calls now, my wife and myself pushing "energy saving, insulation" etc. we put the phone down both times, he was still in full flight!! .At best a nuisance, at worst probably a scam. Will now block number.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Opened with a male voice asking straight off: "How are you today?" then; "Are you the homeowner?" Then kept pushing the 'need' for new loft insulation. Gave the impression that this might be an AI generated call. Don't speak - put the phone down straight away it's a scam.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

'Local energy adviser'. Usual scripted opening. Usually a woman with a South African accent, but a man this time. TPS registered number.

Cold calling number offering services of a dubious nature that I have no interest in. Block the number and resume your life.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

I am getting these calls almost daily. Most annoying.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Claim that loft insulation install 10 to 20 years ago may cause condensation and can send someone to inspect. Seems like an A.I. generator so picks up certain words you say and responds accordingly. If you say nothing, you hear nothing. If you say something irrelevant, it tries to bring the conversation back to insulation inspection.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Loft insulation. I said I was 93 and they hung up. I have reported it to TPS

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

This appears linked to ongoing scams involving insulation and solar schemes. They may also be tied to other questionable housing related offers.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Neutral

Missed call with no message left. The answering system picked it up but there was no indication of who was calling or why.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

Unsolicited calls. Avoid engaging with unknown numbers or returning missed calls. Best to report and block suspicious contact attempts.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

Answered but nobody spoke. Tried calling back and heard an unusual tone so ended it. Seems like a suspicious overseas routing.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

Answered the call but nobody spoke. When I rang back, the tone did not sound like a UK line so I hung up straight away as it seemed suspicious.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Neutral

Answering machine picked up but no message was left.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Call about solar survey and installation. Responses did not match answers given, suggesting an AI driven or scripted system.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

AI voice. Cold call.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Woman claimed I qualified for free solar panels. I declined and ended the call as it sounded like a typical cold call.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

Claimed to be from a company about windows and doors. The call sounded unnatural and likely part of a scam or cold calling campaign.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Female voice mentioning solar heating, hung up and blocked.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

Claimed to be about solar power. Asked if I could hear and if I was the homeowner, obviously trying to get me to say yes.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Claimed to be Jane ringing from a solar panel Government scheme. I think it likely it was AI since “she” talked over me when I asked why I was being called unsolicitedly. I was exceptionally rude to her and she just kept on talking as if she wasn’t even aware of me…

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Harassing

Unknown number, no voicemail, blocked

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

The voice message sounds cheerful and friendly enough but very much likely to be an AI generated call, pretending to be Windows and Doors Limited. Basically cold calling unwanted and intrusive. I blocked the number and also blocked it at my mother's home too.

Didn't recognise the number and no message left, so blocked it.

User reported 0131 231 2303 as Dangerous

Pre recorded message pretending to be about Windows services. Clearly a scam call using automation.
